Queuing for freezer space in Thai retail. These days, trying to get your products listed into the frozen section of supermarket chains in Thailand is a bit like standing in line for a hip nightclub. Limited space means that its one-in-one-out and only the very cool and extremely famous get to skip the queue.

Frozen food is still a relatively small sector in Thailand and at the moment the floor space dedicated to frozen items falls far short of being able to cope with the frozen items that are on offer.

This is a big drawback for frozen expansion in Thailand. While most stores are taking steps to increase their frozen and chilled space, progress is slow and in the meantime, brands wait impatiently in line for their chance to enter.
